Hims ED and Testosterone Review 2026: Pricing, Pharmacies and Refund Terms

Hims shows starting prices and says the “Actual price to customer will depend on product and subscription plan purchased.” The pages we read have no full table by dose, quantity and plan length. Prices below were read on September 16, 2026. Insurance is not required, and the testosterone FAQ says Hims “doesn’t take FSA or HSA plans as payment at this time.”

For erectile dysfunction, Hims sells generic sildenafil (“The generic form of Viagra®”) and generic tadalafil (“Generic for Cialis®”) tablets. It also sells compounded chewables containing sildenafil, tadalafil or both, a daily tadalafil chewable, a compounded “3-in-1” pill with sildenafil and tadalafil, and other combination products priced from $35 to $39 a month.

The ED page states that its featured products “include compounded products which have not been approved by the FDA.” Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved; the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are sold. The chewables page does not say which pharmacy makes them.

For low testosterone, the FAQ says Hims “offers access to a daily oral medication that contains just enclomiphene or combines enclomiphene with tadalafil,” and that “enclomiphene is not FDA-approved.” The same page lists Kyzatrex®, an oral testosterone it labels “FDA approved,” and shows injectable testosterone as “Coming in 2026,” while the FAQ says: “No, Hims does not currently offer access to TRT injections.” The company’s September 2025 press release said the branded oral testosterone would launch in 2026 through a collaboration with Marius Pharmaceuticals. Whether Kyzatrex can be ordered now is not stated.

Hims & Hers Health, Inc. gives its address as 2269 Chestnut Street, #523, San Francisco, in its terms (updated August 31, 2026); the BBB lists Andrew Dudum as CEO. The terms say “Hims & Hers is not a healthcare provider.” Care comes from affiliated “Medical Groups,” named as the You Health practices of Alaska, California, Hawaii, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey and Texas. Individual providers are not listed.

Pharmacies. The terms name six: Apostrophe Pharmacy LLC, XeCare LLC, EHT Pharmacy LLC (dba Curexa), CD Pharmacy LLC (d/b/a Red Rock Pharmacy), AnazaoHealth Corporation and Strive Specialties, Inc. Prescriptions may be “transferred among the Pharmacies without notice,” and which one fills a given order is not stated. In a September 2024 newsroom post, Hims said it runs “503A compounding pharmacies located in Ohio and Arizona,” had acquired “MedisourceRx, a 503B outsourcing facility in California,” and tests formulations “with a third-party analytical laboratory.”

Regulatory record.

• September 9, 2025: an FDA warning letter to Hims & Hers Health, Inc. about website claims for compounded semaglutide, such as “Same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy.” The FDA wrote: “Compounded drug products are not FDA-approved.” The letter did not concern ED or testosterone products, and we found no close-out letter.
• December 12, 2025: an FDA warning letter to MedisourceRx, a registered 503B outsourcing facility in Los Alamitos, California, which Hims said in September 2024 it had acquired (the letter does not name Hims): “You failed to submit the adverse event report identified in Complaint Log # C25004.” The FDA issued a close-out letter on July 27, 2026.
• July 29, 2026: the FTC, joined by Utah and California, sued Hims & Hers in federal court. It alleges the company shared “sensitive health information about medical conditions with third-party advertising platforms” and “made it difficult for them to cancel their subscriptions by hiding the cancellation button from consumers.” The case is pending.

Hims’ help center (updated September 1, 2026) says Hims & Hers is “currently available in all 50 states” but that “specific treatments may be limited to certain states,” without a list. The testosterone page says that program is “not available in all 50 states” and that “In some states, a video visit with a healthcare provider is required.” Hims’ broader lab service is “Not available in Hawaii.”

Testosterone patients “check out with an initial at-home Hims Labs kit” and ship samples back by FedEx the same day; labs are “processed in a CLIA-certified lab,” which Hims says is “required to determine your eligibility for treatment.” The 2025 press release promised results “in days instead of months”; an exact turnaround and a follow-up lab schedule are not published.

ED care is “100% online from start to finish,” with “Free and discreet shipping.” Subscribers are directed to secure messaging; the terms list 1-800-368-0038 for cancellations.

Hims subscriptions renew automatically. The terms say a subscription “will automatically renew for another subscription period unless you cancel at least two (2) days before the applicable renewal processing date.” The help center gives the same 48-hour rule, with cancellation steps for the app and website.

The refund article (updated August 27, 2026) says: “While we can’t guarantee a refund once the pharmacy has processed your order, we are here to support you through this process.” The terms add: “We do not offer refunds for partially used subscription periods, although we may provide refunds on a case-by-case basis in our sole and absolute discretion.” Returns are not accepted “Due to the unique nature of our products.”

The terms promise refunds within 48 hours of payment only for the weight-loss medication plan and for lab testing not yet received. We found no equivalent refund for ED or testosterone patients whom a provider does not treat.

Disputes go to “binding and final arbitration” on an individual basis, with an opt-out “Within thirty (30) days after first becoming subject to this Arbitration Agreement.”

• What is refunded if the provider does not prescribe?
