Who runs Upkeepwell

Upkeepwell is a small editorial team, independently owned and run. The same few people choose which programs to cover, read the source documents, write the pages and answer the email: there is no newsroom behind them and no support desk in front of them. Pages carry the byline “Upkeepwell Editorial” because that is what is accurate. The team is accountable for every page as a whole, which is why the sources sit at the foot of each one.

The site is operated from outside the United States and written for readers in the United States. We would rather say that than have you find it out. It works because of what this site actually does: everything here is read off documents anyone can open, and a document reads the same from anywhere. What it also means is that we are not reporting from inside the US market. We do not visit clinics, we do not sit in on consultations, and we do not test any service. For anything that would need that, this is not the right site, and each review says plainly what it could not check.

No company reviewed here owns, funds or invests in Upkeepwell, and none is affiliated with us beyond the one commercial relationship described below. None of them has a stake in the site or a say in what it publishes, sees a page before publication, or can pay to change what a page says. Our standards are set out in full in our editorial policy.

What we do

For each company we read its own published pages (pricing, terms of service, refund policy, safety disclosures, privacy notice) and its public records with the Better Business Bureau, Trustpilot and, where relevant, the FDA and the Federal Register. We quote the company’s wording where the exact words matter, we record every fact with the date the page was read, and we check every company against the same six criteria described in How we review. Those dated sources are printed at the foot of each review so you can open them and check us. Every review also includes a list of what the company does not publish.

What we do not do

We do not order, use or test medications or services. We do not run lab analyses. We do not verify companies’ clinical claims. We are not clinicians and we employ none, so no one here reviews a page for medical accuracy: that is exactly why every clinical statement on this site is attributed to the company that made it or to a named public record, rather than asserted by us. Nothing on this site is medical advice. We do not rate companies with numbers, grades or stars of our own. When a fact cannot be found on the company’s site or in a public record, we say “not published” rather than estimate. When a company’s pages contradict each other, we print both versions.

How we make money

Some links to companies are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no cost to you. Commissions are how this site is funded, which is why most of the programs we cover run one. No company pays us for a review, a rating or a position on a page, and no company sees a page before it is published. Every program is checked against the same six criteria, and we publish the terms, the gaps and the public record for each one whether or not that helps a sale. How to reach a human

Email hello@upkeepwell.com. There is no phone line and no contact form, and the address goes to the people who write the pages rather than to an agency. We aim to reply within three business days, and corrections and source questions are answered before anything else. If you represent a company we cover and a fact has changed, send us the current page and we will update the review and its dates. More on what we will and will not do is on our contact page.

Corrections

Prices, policies and ratings change, and we get things wrong. If something here is out of date or incorrect, send the page, the sentence and the source that contradicts it. We fix errors on the page, date the change and log it publicly: our corrections page explains how to report an error, how fast we respond, what we count as a correction rather than a routine update, and lists every correction we have made.
